Mysterious Abandoned Books

Miami students, faculty, staff, and community borrowers can request and pick up materials from Miami University and OhioLINK libraries within the safety of their own vehicles.

Curbside pickup is available at the Gardner-Harvey Library in Middletown, and also at the Rentschler Library in Hamilton and the King Library in Oxford.

See how it works, with Theo-saurus:

1. Place a hold

Place a hold in Books & More or the OhioLINK catalog on the item(s) you'd like, and select Middletown Circ Desk/Curbside or Middletown Lib. circ desk as the pickup location.

2. Receive an email

When your items are ready for pickup, we'll send you an email to let you know.

3. Drive up

Once your materials are ready, drive up to the Gardner-Harvey Library during our curbside pickup hours. With our roof construction continuing through the end of Fall Semester 2023, our parking lot may not be available. Instead, feel free to park in our main parking lot and let us know your location when you call.

4. Call up

When you're here, call us at 513-727-3222 and let us know.

Texting isn't supported, so please call.

Inside the library, we'll check your items out and bag them up for you.

5. Enjoy!

We'll bring your items out to your car.

Happy reading!

What about returns?

This one's easy: use either of the book drops on the road facing side of the building, one at the end of the library closest to the loading dock, and one to the right of the front entrance of the building.
