Many students are troubled by problems with math courses. Math tutors
are available during the day and evening to assist with homework and to
answer questions. Math software, videotapes,
and textbooks also are available for use.
If additional help is needed, individual tutoring is available FREE to all Miami Students. You can pick up a Tutor Request Form in
Student Services, Room 1 Johnston Hall at the front desk.
ON-LINE TUTOR
M, T,W,R 8pm-10pm and Sun. 7pm-11pm
The on-line tutor will be available during exam week on Sunday, May 4, Monday, May 5, and Tuesday, May 6. After May 6, the on-line tutor will not be available until after classes begin in August.
A Math/Physics tutor will be available on-line at the lab times posted. When you follow the link, a small program will install
on your machine the first time. After that there will be no need for the installation. You will be asked to enter your name and
then be allowed into the on-line tutoring classroom. The tutor will assist you there. If you are attempting to do this from on
campus using muwireless lite it will not allow you to proceed. You need to have muwireless installed to work. You can do this
on a high-speed or dial up connection. Speakers or headphones are handy but not required. If you have a microphone, you can
speak to the tutor rather than texting. If you experience problems, please call the Computer Help Desk at 727-3356 before
9 weekdays.
