Coaching Staff

Head Coach - Nicole Gilbert returns as the ThunderHawks volleyball coach after a successful first year and leading the T-Hawks to a 12-10 finish overall, a 6-2 finish in the league and a second place finish in the state tournament. Nicole is a former MUM volleyball player having played on the 2001 Ohio Regional Campus State championship team. She graduated this past May with her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and is currently subbing in the Middletown City School District.

Nicole has ten years coaching experience with high school, club and college teams combined. She is CAP I and IMPACT certified.
She resides in Trenton with her husband, Jason and two daughters, Zoe and Gwenyth.

Assistant Coach - Dennis Ullery starts his first season as the Thunderhawks volleyball coach. Dennis played collegiate ball at Ohio Northern University for one year, coming away as Division II NIRSA National Champions. He is currently a sophomore at Miami University-Middletown and is majoring in Chemistry and Secondary Education.

Dennis brings one year coach experience and certifications as a USA referee and coach along with five years of playing experience to the Thunderhawks and looks forward to a successful season.
