Michael D. Priest, began coaching at Miami University of Middletown in 2002 as the Assistant to the Men’s & Women’s tennis teams. Prior to coaching, Mike played in 2000 and 2001 while a student at Miami University of Middletown. Graduating in 2003, Mike has gone on to teach high school social studies at Miami Valley Academies in Moraine, Ohio and is currently attending Graduate School at Miami University, specializing in Special Education Family.

Mike’s athletic awards include coaching the Women’s State Champions at Miami University in 2005 & 2006. Prior to that, during his playing tenure, he was State #2 Singles Champion ORCC, 2001; ORCC All Conference Team, 2001; Scholar Athlete Award, Men’s Tennis 2000; All Academic Conference Award, Men’s Tennis, 2000 and 2001.

In addition to his athletic achievements at Miami University, Mike also was named Student of the Month, Miami University Middletown Campus, 2001; Miami University Parents Association, 2001; Service and Leadership Award, 2000; and Lynn Darbyshire Award, Men’s Tennis, 2001.

Mike is married to his wife, Susan, and is the father of 2 sons, Tony and Stephen, from a previous marriage and step-father to Alice who is a current Miami student.
