Coaching Staff

Head Coach - Jenni Meier is entering her second year as Head Coach for the Thunderhawk softball team. She is a former Thunderhawk player, playing softball and basketball at Miami University Middletown. She is also a student at Miami, completing her two degrees in Health Education and Physical Education, with a Coaching Minor.

While a young coach, Jenni brings much experience both playing and coaching to the ThunderHawk program. She was a very successful player at the Middeltown and Hamilton campuses. Jenni has assisted with numerous basketball and softball clinics for youth and provided private instruction for softball. In 2004-05 Jenni was head coach at Little Miami Junior High and High school in both softball and basketball. She is entering her fourth year as a volunteer with the Cincinnati Reds coaching baseball for inner-city youth.

Assistant Coach - Carrie Ellis is beginning her third year helping coach the Thunderhawk Softball team. She has nine years experience overall coaching softball. She was an assistant coach at Little Miami High School for seven years and has helped work with the catchers at Goshen High School. She has also coached youth and summer travel teams. This past year she helped with the Ramball team from Ross High School.

Carrie also does a lot of community volunteer work. For the past three years she has volunteered once a week at the Childrens Medical Center in Dayton where she spends time playing and comforting sick children. She also works raising money for the Childrens Miracle Network, as well as the radiothon sponsored by K99.1.
