“Fabulous February”

Regional campus athletics establishes high quality standards of competition, conduct and camaraderie.   Student athletes from the regional campus recognize that friendly competition and good sportsmanship are essential parts of their education both on and off the court.

In all, 24 teams began their journey on the “Road to the Final Four” which will be held at University of Akron Wayne College.  The journey started for the women at Ohio University Lancaster and for the men at Ohio State University Newark/COTC.

The women are looking to improve on their 2nd place showing last season by taking home that championship trophy which was last won by the Lady ThunderHawks in 2007.

The men are looking to go for a 5th in a row state championship which has never been done by a Miami team and only accomplished one time in the history of the regional state tournament back in the 1979 through 1983 season with OU Chillicothe winning 5 in a row.
