The Miami Bulletin
You were given a copy of The
Miami Bulletin (sometimes called the Catalog) at orientation. Keep this
Bulletin until you graduate! An online version is available at http://www.miami.muohio.edu/documents_and_policies/bulletin/index.cfm.
If you no longer have the one you received, buy a new one at the MUM Bookstore.
It contains a list of all the majors and minors that Miami offers, as well
as the requirements for each. You will follow the requirements listed in the
Bulletin for the year you started at Miami. You are responsible
to know what your degree requires and to make sure you’ve met the requirements.
In the back of the Bulletin are
descriptions of all the courses…if you’re not sure what a course
is about, you can look it up and find out! The course descriptions also tell
you how many credit hours the courses are worth.
In the front of the Bulletin are
Academic Calendars that contain important dates for each semester the Bulletin
covers. Make sure you know when withdrawal deadlines and deadlines to apply
for graduation are.
And remember to bring your
Bulletin with you each time you meet with an academic advisor!
