New Year's Goals

by Co-Editor Michele Teegarden

2009 has passed and all of us are looking forward to 2010. New Year’s brings about the opportunity for a fresh and new beginning to just about anything people set their minds to change. Maybe your change is a new relationship, finances, or a new diet goal. All New Year’s resolutions are achievable if you follow three important rules. The three rules are as follows.

1. Always set obtainable and realistic goals.

2. Stick to the plan you have set to reach your goals.

3. Don’t ever give up. Giving up is sure to spell failure for any goals you set. Remember failure is not permanent.  The only thing that’s permanent is the choice a person makes when they are afraid to try again with something’s that failed.

The reality is we all sit down the last week of December every year and think, “I will not have another year end the way this last one did.” The dividing line between winners and losers is this…Determination, Dedication, Drive, and Desire. So I challenge each of you as the New Year is now upon us to think about what goals you will set and then push yourself till you accomplish them. May 2010 prove to be a year of health, wealth, and prosperity for each of you. Challenge yourselves to obtain the health, financial and scholastic goals you have set for yourself this year.

Please feel free to send me your goals and New Year’s Resolutions.  Send them to my e-mail, at teegarml@muohio.edu. We will print some of your entries in the next edition of The Hawk’s Eye Campus News. Send in questions and topics of interest you would like to see addressed in 2010. Be Happy and Successful!!!! Happy New Year!
