Fantastic Free Fridays Begin October 8

Miami University Middletown's Fantastic Free Fridays will begin its fifth year on Friday, October 8, when Theatre IV presents The Little Red Hen at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium.

Theatre IV's rendition of the classic Little Red Hen is described as a "feel good, foot-stompin' country musical." Founded in 1976 in Cincinnati, Theatre IV is Ohio's oldest and largest non-profit professional theatre dedicated to children, parents and teachers. This show is recommended for ages 3-8.

Miami Middletown began the Fantastic Free Fridays programs in the fall of 2000, offering free one-hour performances to schools in a five-county area. Since that time, more than 13,000 young people have had the opportunity to experience jazz and big band music, a marching band, theatre, opera, ballet and world music.

In addition to The Little Red Hen, the fall performances will include The Miami University Men's Glee Club (10 a.m. on November 12) and the Bi-Okoto Drum and Dance Theatre (10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on December 3).
