Suggested Library Materials on . . .

The Diversity Advisory Council and the Library have cooperatively compiled these lists to assist in locating materials in the Miami University Libraries collection which would add understanding and awareness of other cultures and points of view to class assignments, presentations and discussions. Our hope is that awareness will encourage inclusive thinking on campus.

Each topic includes a list of items with links to information on the item in the library catalog and also to review materials at Amazon.com or other sources. There is also a printable bibliography linked from each list.

The Diversity Advisory Council sponsors a variety of activities and events on the Middletown campus in addition to this list, including:

• Panel discussions on topics such as immigration.
• Field trips to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
• Film screenings (e.g., A Day Without a Mexican)
• Book discussions (forthcoming)
