The Gardner-Harvey Library checks out laptops to current Miami University students, faculty, and staff upon presentation of a valid driver's license. The laptops may be checked out for three hours.
Where can I use a wireless laptop in the Gardner-Harvey Library?
Wireless access is available throughout the Gardner-Harvey Library, including the Group Study Area on the lower level. Tables and carrels with convenient access to electrical outlets are identified with an orange "Laptop Zone" sign.
Can I access my email using the laptops?
You are encouraged to use the email system on the MyMiami page. Using Eudora for email will leave personal information on the laptop's hard drive.
How do I print files?
The laptops are configured to print to the laser printer located just behind the standup workstation near the front desk of the Library.
How do I save files?
You should save files on your Universal Disk Space (also known as your M: drive) or send the files to your email account.
