Miami University Middletown Faculty Forum
All members of the campus community with teaching appointments are members of the Faculty Forum, including those with full-time, part-time, and hybrid (split faculty/staff appointments). The group was created to provide an institutionalized space for faculty to have dialogue and debate issues that are particularly and specifically of concern to faculty members, including academic policies, curriculum, and working conditions.
The Executive Committee of the Faculty Forum is charged with the following responsibilities:
- sets the agenda for and runs the Faculty Forum meetings
- serves as the conduit of communication between the Faculty Forum and the Office of the Dean
- deliberates upon issues of concerns to faculty, including issues delegated to the Executive Committee by the faculty as a whole
- serves as the Committee on Committees & Elections for Faculty Forum
- elects a Faculty Forum representative to Campus Council of the Campus Assembly
