We are pleased to announce the 10th annual Fantastic Free Fridays program at Miami University Middletown. This program is intended to provide free opportunities for students in area schools and members of the public to enjoy live performances.


  • Each performance lasts one hour unless otherwise noted.
  • Group reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Individual walk-ins are always welcome.
  • All performances are held in the Dave Finkelman Auditorium at Miami University Middletown.

Alexander, King of Jesters

It’s easy to imagine a court jester, but have you ever seen one perform? A rare treat indeed ! Enter the world of the Wise Fool, and take an inspiring journey to Medieval times. Study guides available. Recommended for all ages.

Under the direction of Chris Tanner, the M.U. Steel Band has been propelled on to the world stage and is expanding the repertory for this unique ensemble. Recommended for all ages.

November 6, 2009, 10:00 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.

Based on the original folktale, Henny Penny is enjoying a day gathering acorns when one hits her on the head. She is convinced the sky is falling and that she must tell the king. Study Guides available. Recommended for grades K-4.

 

 


 

Maidens IV



December 4, 2009, 10:00 a.m.

Four sisters, four part harmony, four instruments and eight dancing feet! Kindling with a passion that makes all the difference, these lovely ladies whirl into the Celtic and Folk sphere. Recommended for all ages.
