Making a decision about your career is important! It is a multi-step process
that requires self-assessment, research, experience and reflection. We work
to be challenged, make a difference, practice a skill, and have a secure life.
Students wanting to explore career options are encouraged to complete some of
the free on-line assessments at:
Find:
We encourage exploration!
Before making an appointment, please do the following:
1. Go to the following web sites and take a career assessment:
Be curious about the occupations!
While you are at this government site, you will note descriptions of occupations,
fastest growing careers, most "in demand" careers for people without
college, with a AA or a BA/BS degree.
For enrolled students, we suggest coming to Room 1 JH to get a "token"

information. After using it, you should make a counseling appointment.
2. Obtain the printouts.
3. Be ready to share your answers to these questions:
- What three things are you most proud of?
- What do you do in your spare time? Do you have a hobby? Are you involved
in community service? Are you knowledgeable about software?
- What would be your "dream job"?
