Chemical Technology

Declaring a Major

If you declared Chemical Technology as your major when you applied for admission to Miami University, you are enrolled as such and need do nothing further.

If you declared yourself "Undecided" when you applied for admission, you must change your major from "Undecided" to "Chemical Technology". Obtain the Change of Major, Minor, Thematic Sequence form from the Registration window in the Johnston Hall lobby. Fill in your student identification number, name, class, and date.  In the first (Change from) column, list Major 1 as "Undecided" (code 56).  In the second (Change to) column, list Major 1 as "Chemical Technology" (code ASCH) and list degree as "AAS".  Obtain the signature of Dr. Susan Marine as Chief Departmental Advisor or Dr. Carolyn Keiffer as Science/Math Coordinator.  Return the form to the Registration office.

If you are adding Chemical Technology as a second major, use the same Change of Major, Minor, Thematic Sequence form.  Do not mark anything in the first (Change from/Delete) column.  In the Change to/Add column, add "Chemical Technology" (code ASCH) as Major 2.  Obtain the signature of Dr. Susan Marine as Chief Departmental Advisor or Dr. Carolyn Keiffer as Science/Math Coordinator.  Return the form to the Registration office.
