What We Do

We are an interdisciplinary group of instructors who teach at Miami University-Middletown. We formed the Community-Based Learning Initiative in the fall of 2004 with the goals of researching CBL, developing CBL courses in our own disciplines, and creating this web site, which will include a resource database for instructors, staff, students, and community agencies to use for research and collaboration on CBL projects.

In addition, we are planning several events for the upcoming year in order to share our experiences and help others explore CBL, including information seminars, panel discussions, “meet and greets” for instructors and community agencies, and more.

If you are an instructor or staff member interested in learning more about CBL or joining us in our efforts, we would love to hear from you. No experience necessary!
