Admission, Fees, and Financial Aid
Transfer
You are a transfer student if you have attended another accredited college or university after high school and have earned credit. Transfer students who have been enrolled in college in the last 2 years must have a 2.0 GPA or higher in their previous coursework. To enroll as a transfer student, complete the following steps:
- Apply online or print out the PDF application.
- Submit your high school transcript or a copy of your official GED and official transcripts for all college coursework (as well as the $35 application fee if not applying online)to the following address:

- All transcripts must be submitted directly to MUM. High school transcripts are not required from those applicants who graduated from high school prior to 1986 or have earned a bachelor's degree.
- Miami University Middletown must receive official transcripts for all college coursework.
- Apply for Financial Aid:
- Request a PIN (this is your electronic signature).
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- Priority deadline for filing the FAFSA: Feb. 15. The FAFSA can be completed after Feb. 15 but should be completed at least 4 weeks before the start of classes.
- Miami University's Institutional Code: 003077
- To be eligible for MUM scholarships, apply by March 1st every year.
- Complete the Accepted Student Checklist.
