Admission, Fees, and Financial Aid
Nondegree
You are a non-degree student if you are just planning to take a few classes and you fit the following criteria:
- Must be a high school graduate or have completed a GED
- Must have been out of school for at least two years
- May not be currently enrolled at another educational institution
- Are not planning to take a graduate course (application to graduate school required)
- Are not a current or former Miami student (readmission or reenrollment form required)
Non-degree students are not eligible for financial aid and may take up to 12 credit hours. To enroll as a non-degree student, complete the following steps:
- Complete the Non-Degree Student Application and submit with the $20 application fee to:

- You may register for classes in person at the Office of Records & Registration or online at myMiami:
- Log in using your Unique ID and password.
- Select the "BannerWeb" link (on the far right of the page).
- Select "Student Services and Financial Aid".
- Select "Registration".
- Select "Registration/Change of Schedule".
- Enter the CRN for the course or does a class search. When finished, select "Submit Change".
- CRN = Course Registration Number
- Be sure to select the correct campus when doing a class search.
- Select the "Student Detail Schedule".
- Check your schedule for accuracy and print a copy.
