Required Application Materials

As a guidance counselor, you will need to provide the following materials for high school applicants. (Miami does not require a Mid-Year report.)

  • Recommendation/Evaluation
    Miami requires one recommendation/evaluation from either a guidance counselor or teacher in an academic subject (English, social science, mathematics, natural science, or foreign language). This assessment can be included on the Secondary School Report (PDF 145KB) or written as a separate letter. (The Teacher Evaluation form is not required.)
    * Faxed recommendations/evaluations are accepted.

  • Official High School Transcript
    Transcripts must be submitted by the high school. First and second semester senior courses must be listed on either the transcript or the Secondary School Report (PDF 145KB) for an application to be considered complete. Miami encourages counselors to submit documents electronically, and we currently accept electronic transcripts via Common Application online (details), eSCRIP-SAFE, Docufide, Prep HeadQuarters, and C!Doc (ConnectEdu).
    * Faxed transcripts are not accepted.
