Accepted PSEOP Student Checklist

Congratulations on choosing Miami University Middletown! Following is a checklist of items that you need to take care of as new student. If you have any questions, contact the Office of Admission at 513-727-3216.

  1. Sign up for the Compass assessment test and an Orientation/Registration session (you will receive a code to sign up in your acceptance letter).
    1. More information and practice questions are available at "Things to Know About Compass"
    • PSEOP students must test college ready in Reading and in either Math or English to participate in the program.
  2. Activate your myMiami account (What's this?) by going here to:
    1. Find your UniqueID.
    2. Change your default password. *Your default password includes the last four digits of your #SS. If you did not provide your #SS on your PSEOP admission application you may not be able to activate your myMiami account and therefore will not be able to register for classes. You will need to come to the admission office in Johnston Hall with a picture ID to add your social security number to your record.
    3. Create a secret question & answer.
  3. Log-on to myMiami to:
    1. Complete the ePromise Agreement:
      1. Click the link to "BannerWeb" in the "My Favorite Links" section.
      2. Click the "Student Services & Financial Aid" link on the main menu.
      3. Click the "Registration" link.
      4. The ePromise Agreement appears automatically. Read the ePromise information. If you agree to the statements, click the "I Agree" checkboxes and click "Submit".
    2. Complete the Emergency Contact information (this should appear automatically).
  4. Before attending your PSEOP orientation please check for open classes on the Record and Registration web page. Click on Fall Open Courses link on the left side of the page.
Checking open classes will help you plan ahead for options if your first choice is closed and save you a lot of time at orientation.
  5. After attending orientation, pick up your books from the bookstore.
    1. The bookstore will have a copy of your class schedule; all that you need to bring is your ID. The student must pick up their books in person.
    2. PSEOP students do not pick up their books until about one week before classes start. Check with the PSEOP coordinator in Admission to find out when you can pick up books for the current term.
    3. Miami University Middletown PSEOP students must purchase and return their books on the Middletown campus. Bookstore hours may vary.
