Office of Student Services
Johnston Hall, Room 1
513-727-3440

Academic advising
Each student who attends orientation at the Middletown campus is assigned an academic advisor based on his or her intended major. Students who are advised in the Student Services office include undecided/exploratory, returning former, and “at-risk” students. Students who need to petition an academic action also use this office.

Learning assistance
The Middletown campus offers learning assistance in a variety of formats including Reading/Writing and math Lab, one-one tutoring study tables; and individualized consultations about time managements, study skills and test-taking strategies. The Labs are available to students Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. With the assistance of faculty, this office initiates academic interventions for students who are experiencing academic difficulties. These students are connected with the appropriate learning assistance resources.

Disability services
Students who have a documented or verified disability are encouraged to seek the services of the Office of Disability Services. The staff can consult with students to coordinate reasonably physical and/or learning disability accommodations. The university is required to provide accommodations to eligible students. Please make note of this service on your syllabus and direct students to this office.

Counseling Services
The university provides cost-free and confidential counseling services to current students. If you notice students exhibiting behavior that may warrant personal or career counseling, please contact this office. If you are concerned about the well-being or health of a student, do not hesitate to call.

Career Services
The career services staff helps students explore career possibilities and take steps toward reaching career goals and aspirations. The office staff provides assistance with choosing a career, finding positions/opportunities that relate to the student's major (internships, co-op, service learning/volunteer, and part-time positions), preparing an effective job search, and seeking a full-time position after graduation.
