September 8: First Special: 4-5:30: Dr. Marsha Huber on "Using Classroom Assessment Techniques to Enhance Active Learning". The session will be held in Johnston 136/137 (in the Campus Community Center) and pizza will be provided. More information on the session is available from the CELT web site (the session is also being offered earlier on the same day in Oxford).

September 16: Open House. 11:30-1:30 p.m. JHN 11. Our annual Open House will feature posters from CTL funding recipients and a screening of Gail Tayko's documentary about Basic Writing at MUM, "Out of the House of English." Snacks will be provided; please drop by at your convenience.
