COMPASS Assessment

The COMPASS assessment program is designed to assist you and your academic advisor in choosing appropriate courses. It consists of a mathematics and reading test and a writing profile. COMPASS is given on a computer, but it is easy to use and you do not need computer skills to take the test. You can't fail the test and your score will not be used to deny you admission, however the results are used to place you in classes according to your skill level. If you would like to review basic concepts before taking this assessment we suggest that you check out basic math or algebra books at your local library or try these sample questions online. Calculators are available on the computer. You may bring your own calculator, but graphing calculators are not allowed.

Only ACCEPTED students who have reserved a computer space in the testing room can take the assessment. Walk-in testing is not available at this time. Testing times listed should meet most student's needs. If you have an extraordinary circumstance please feel free to contact us.

Students with documented disablilities are entitled to special accommodations. To arrange for special needs, please call 513-727-3440 before your scheduled orientation/advising date.
